NADA Conventions

At the 2009 NADA Convention in New Orleans (Jan 24 -27, 2009), Dorthy’s subject was How Smart Dealers Are Changing the Way They Advertise. Dealers and GMs considered how America's most forward thinking dealers are using a new media mix that: cuts their advertising budget, tracks every dollar spent, and increases sales.  The traditional media model no longer applies in today's Internet world. Smart dealers are using a 360 degree approach that integrates all forms of media to drive business.  With the new media model, you will KNOW the return on your advertising dollars and can hold those responsible for spending your ad budget accountable.
 
At the 2007 NADA Convention in Las Vegas (Feb 3 – 6, 2007), iMarketing: Integrating Your Advertising for Maximum Effectiveness was Dorthy’s topic of note.  In this workshop, dealers learned how to synergize messages by utilizing the various media together.  They also learned how the Internet is permanently changing the face of business and how to anticipate and prepare for the upswing in online research and purchasing.  She discussed how TV, Radio, and other traditional media can be used to drive traffic to your website, and what features your website should have to make it a traffic-driving powerhouse.
 
At the 2006 NADA Convention in Orlando (Feb 11 – 14, 2006), the topic was Extreme Makeover: Revitalizing Your Used Car Advertising. During this seminar, Dorthy not only illustrated the best used car advertising from around the country, but also how to determine what used car make and models were selling in their immediate area. Dealers learned who the best customer is for their used car department, what media will best reach them, and what message will get them to their door. 
 
At the 2005 NADA Convention in New Orleans (Jan 29 – Feb 1, 2005), her topic was An Insider’s Guide to Successful Advertising. This “tell all” seminar described how the truly elite dealers went from average to exceptional; how they built their dealership name as a brand and the sophisticated tools they use to track and measure their advertising, and more.
 
At the 2003 NADA Convention in San Francisco (Feb 1-4, 2003), Dorthy’s seminar, How to Develop a Winning Advertising Strategy, focused on the R.A.C.E. philosophy.  The R.A.C.E. process for developing effective advertising includes: what type of research is essential to setting the right course, how to analyze those findings to map out a winning strategy, what it takes to create a media plan and ads that get results, how to execute their plan successfully throughout the dealership, then evaluating the results and fine-tuning their advertising.
